Women Aware is rooted in compassion for those we serve. Our initiatives grow out of the challenges survivors face as they negotiate safety for themselves and their children. Our exceptional team moves families beyond abuse by providing a safe refuge, comprehensive case management, counseling and legal advocacy. Our comprehensive services have expanded to include the First Permanent Supportive Housing Program for victims of domestic violence in New Jersey. All services are free and confidential. Our culturally diverse staff speaks multiple languages giving a voice to vulnerable populations.

We are changing lives. In a typical year we shelter over 200 women and children, offer 25,000 meals, answer over 5,000 hotline calls and leverage over one million dollars in client assistance. We empower those along their journey offering hope for a brighter day, a better future.

The financial health of our agency remains strong. Our net income has steadily accelerated, total assets have grown by twenty percent and equity, a key measure for long term health, has climbed by fifteen percent. This growth has allowed for program expansion along with an increase of over thirty percent in client services. In summary, ships like ours take time to set course. We have made that turn and we continue to head forward into a brighter horizon.
