A night of reflection, inspiration and call to action

Survivor testimony at Women Aware’s Voices of Courage & Change fundraiser delivered a powerful message of resilience and hope. Honorees and speakers put out a passionate call for awareness and action. Sponsors, ticket purchasers and donors contributed financially to the success of Women Aware’s Women’s History Month event at the New Brunswick Performing Arts Center on March 25. It was a memorable night.

At the conclusion of the evening, Women Aware Board Vice President Siyan Bradley said, “Don’t leave behind the message of hope you heard here tonight. Tell your family, tell your friends, tell your colleagues that Women Aware is here, providing free and confidential services to victim-survivors and their children. Follow Women Aware on social media. Share our posts.” He reminded everyone it takes money to provide domestic violence services and encouraged everyone to give.
CONGRATULATIONS and THANK YOU to the survivors of domestic violence who generously and courageously shared their stories in a short film presented by students, Siobhan O’Hea with Miranda Haws and Dayan Bardales, at Rutgers University’s Mason Gross School of the Arts.
