Staff Spotlight – Meet Catherine
Grants Coordinator
Catherine is Grants Coordinator for Women Aware. Her family is her inspiration as their unconditional support motivates her to live her best life. Catherine’s favorite place in the world is St. Pete Beach, Florida, where she spent many a happy weekend as a Florida native and celebrated her wedding. The last book she read and highly recommends is Being Mortal: Medicine and What Matters in the End by Atul Gawande. She is passionate about living a life that has meaning and learning new things along the way, which may be why a visit to Egypt and the Great Pyramids is on her bucket list. Mac n’ cheese from Veganized is her guilty pleasure, and when asked about a secret talent, she modestly admitted being “not bad at Crossfit.” As a relative newcomer to domestic violence services, Catherine continues to learn from her colleagues, the news and her own research about the complexities of this issue. She says that it is a particularly exciting time to be part of the Women Aware team as groundwork is laid for the first ever Family Justice Center in Middlesex County.
