Women Aware will host its annual Moving Beyond Abuse 5K & Charity Walk on Saturday, October 11 at Johnson Park, Piscataway with a new twist for 2025! Walkers are welcome to bring their leashed furry companions to join the fun.

The worry of leaving a beloved pet behind to escape abuse is a big reason some victim-survivors choose not to seek shelter. At Women Aware, we want to change that by transitioning to a pet friendly shelter. Help Women Aware keep survivors and their beloved companion safe and together.
