General Responsibilities:
At the direction of and in collaboration with the Family Justice Center Director, the DVRT Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT) Program while leading community outreach, professional training, and public awareness initiatives. This position serves as a liaison among law enforcement, community partners, healthcare providers, educational institutions, and other stakeholders to promote trauma-informed, survivor-centered services and strengthen the coordinated community response to domestic violence throughout Middlesex County.
- Oversees the DVRT program – ensures DVRT Program is following best practice standards.
- Responds to and addresses all training requests. Develops, coordinates, and facilitates 40-hour DV training and various community trainings and outreach, including Teen Dating Violence.
- Maintain knowledge of current domestic violence laws, evidence-based practices, and emerging trends.
- Attend required staff meetings, supervision, agency training, and professional development opportunities.
- Maintain confidentiality, standard of care and ethics of the profession, in accordance with agency policies and applicable federal and state laws.
- Responsible for program reports and other duties assigned.
Specific Duties:
- Work closely with all DVRT volunteers to provide supervision, training, support, and guidance. Coordinates quarterly DVRT team meetings.
- Serves as a liaison with the DV Liaison Officers. Collaborate in recruiting, interviewing, and selecting DVRT volunteers.
- Coordinates follow-up with victims/survivors and linkages with additional services as needed.
- Provide direct services to DV victims; provide legal information/options under the Prevention of Domestic Violence Act, referrals, safety planning, and supportive counseling. Explain the judicial process/system and provide court preparation for restraining order hearings, as needed.
- Coordinate and represent the Family Justice Center at community events, health fairs, awareness campaigns, resource fairs, conferences, and countywide initiatives.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with community stakeholders, including law enforcement, healthcare providers, schools, businesses, faith-based organizations, and social service agencies.
- Increase awareness of domestic violence, prevention strategies, available services, and the Family Justice Center’s Coordinated Community Response model through outreach, education, events, and awareness campaigns.
- Develop and distribute culturally responsive educational materials, resource guides, and promotional resources to community partners and the public.
- Develop, coordinate, and facilitate domestic violence presentations and trainings for multidisciplinary professionals, community partners, and the public.
- Maintain training and outreach records, evaluate program effectiveness, and support grant reporting through data collection, outcomes, success stories, and performance measures.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned.
Safe House Advocate (3pm -11pm)

General Responsibilities: In collaboration with the Director of Residential Services, this position carries the responsibility for providing case management services to residential victims of domestic violence. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to clients.
- Provide individual case management, crisis intervention, and group counseling services in accordance with accepted standards of care and ethics of the profession.
Specific Duties:
- Provide the following direct services: Answer the 24-hour domestic violence hotline and properly provide crisis counseling, information/referrals, and shelter screening. Responsible for orienting residents to a communal living residential facility. Provide ongoing information and advocacy to assigned clients during their stay. Support residents in achieving their goals in accordance with program guidelines and Agency policy. Provide client transportation on an as-needed basis.
- Documentation: maintain case records for clients according to Agency documentation policy/procedure, document hotline calls, intakes, discharges, incidents, assessments, complete safety, and goal plans with clients, and maintain other records as needed.
- Facilitate weekly client in-house meetings.
- Maintain and submit timely accurate statistics.
- Assist with the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports/statistics.
- Provide coverage for coworkers as needed. May be required to stay and cover the subsequent shift in case of emergency, inclement weather, if next shift relief does not report to work, or if unable to find coverage. May be required to work other shifts and weekends as needed and directed by Director of Residential Services.

Coordinator of Advocacy Services

Qualifications:
- Full Time, M-F, evenings as needed
- Degree in Social Work, Criminal Justice, Psychology, Human Services or related field
- 3–5 years of experience in domestic violence services, victim advocacy, case management, and direct client support. Knowledge of the criminal and civil judicial systems
- Excellent crisis intervention, safe planning, and risk assessment skills
- Bilingual (Spanish or Hindi) preferred

General Responsibilities:
At the direction of and in collaboration with the DFJC, the Coordinator of Advocacy Services carries the responsibility for overseeing client service aspects of the Legal Advocacy and Family Justice Center’s intake programs. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
- Provide a safe, non-judgmental, victim-centered and mission-centered environment.
- Work collaboratively with staff and community agencies to facilitate the delivery of services.
- Ensure service provision in accordance with the accepted standards of care, ethics of the profession, and the agency’s confidentiality policy.
Specific Duties:
- Provide direct supervision and support for the Legal Advocacy Advocates and the Intake Specialist. This includes weekly supervision, monitoring caseloads to ensure equitable distribution and timely client follow-up, and quality assurance.
- Provide direct service and support to high-risk/ high-lethality cases and oversight of service delivery. Ensure the program operates in accordance with best practice standards.
- Maintain collaborative and positive working relationships with the Family Court and other judicial partners to ensure survivors have timely access to victim services and support while navigating the judicial system.
- Plan, coordinate, and facilitate community outreach, educational workshops, and trainings to increase awareness of domestic violence, victims’ rights, and available services.
- Responsible for data collection, monthly reports, and targeted program goals and LOS. Maintain and submit all program reports.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews regularly to ensure records are maintained according to the Agency’s policies and procedures.
- Attend and actively participate in agency-wide staff meetings, interdepartmental meetings, in-services, supervision, and agency events. Provide coverage support to the client services team.
- Represent Women Aware at DV Working Group, NJCEDV meetings, and others as assigned.
- Provide onboarding and continued training for new staff.

In collaboration with the Coordinator of Residential Services, this position carries the responsibility for providing crisis intervention and case management services to victims of domestic violence seeking services at the FJC. This includes, but is not limited to, the following:
· Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and mission-centered environment.
· Work collaboratively with Agency staff and community agencies to facilitate the delivery of services.
· Provides crisis intervention, case management, and linkage to services in accordance with accepted standards of care, ethics of the profession and the Agency’s confidentiality policy.
Specific Duties:
· Learn and integrate a trauma-informed, client-centered, approach using an anti-oppressive lens, into your work with clients. First point of contact for survivors engaging in services.
· Responsible for ensuring direct services are provided to Family Justice Center clients: orient victims and families to the Center, conduct comprehensive initial intake, needs assessment for linkage to services, client advocacy, crisis intervention, resources, safety plan, and referrals.
· Schedule intake and follow-up appointments as needed. Ensure survivors are receiving the services requested.
· Responsible to manage crisis helpline, collecting required documentation, and ensure service delivery. Maintain electronic case records for individual clients according to Agency documentation policy/procedure, and maintain other records as needed.
· Assist with submitting reports such as monthly program reports, FVPSA, and DV core stats to the Director of the Family Justice Center. Other duties as assigned.

Per Diem Caseworker
Per Diem Caseworkers needed to provide case management and crisis intervention services to victims of domestic violence in a residential facility on a per diem basis. Availability to work holidays, weekends (mornings or evenings) and overnight shifts. Bachelor’s degree preferred, domestic violence experience and proficient in Spanish a plus.
Job responsibilities include:

In collaboration with the Clinical Director, this position carries the responsibility of bridging services between Women
Aware, Inc. and Middlesex County DCP&P. This includes, but is not limited to the following:
• To strengthen and assist DCP&P caseworkers with DV assessments to identify abuse and intervention for
victims of domestic violence and their children.
• Identify and bring to the attention of the supervisor, patterns of investigative practice that may raise
concerns or issues that need policy or practice adjustment.
• Provide information about trends and best practices related to domestic violence.
• Provide a safe, non-judgmental, and empowering environment to victims of domestic violence in
accordance with accepted standards of care and ethics of the profession.
Specific Duties
• Partner with DCP&P case workers on site and on home visits, or elsewhere, when appropriate.
• Provide direct short-term support for clients, with a greater focus on the assessment of lethality cases, to
assist them in understanding domestic violence and its impact.
• Provide case consultation to DCP&P caseworkers regarding dynamics of domestic violence,
recommendations for additional services such as emergency shelter, housing, legal information/options,
counseling, and BIP.
• Identify and make provisions for DCP&P trainings/development opportunities.
• Maintain monthly statistical reports; complete and submit stats accurately and timely.
• Maintain appropriate client files and open client cases when applicable, keeping charts orderly and up to
date.
• Other duties as assigned by Clinical Director.
