In recognition for her passionate service to survivors of domestic violence, Maria Betanzos, chief operating officer, Women Aware was presented with the Community Service Award from the Renee J. Bradley and Love You Girl Foundations at An Evening of Elegance Sneaker Ball at Crestmont Country Club on October 5.

In her remarks, Maria said, “This is really not personal recognition….This is definitely not the type of work that I would do, ever, alone. This award is for my team.”
